New TED CPV code list from September 17, 2008!
The TED CPV code list on which searching in tenders is based, has changed!
From september 17, 2008 a new version of the CPV code list is used in TED, the official tenderdatabase from the EU on which InfraTenders is based.
Some figures:
Old CPV code list 2003: 8,793 codes
New CPV code list 2008: 10,442 codes
New codes inserted: 1,878
Old codes deleted: 44
Codes changed: Around 5,000!

The TED
The TED (Tenders Electronic Daily, Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Union) is a fine tender system. All member states of the EU are tendering using this system. But you have to go through all 10,442 CPV codes to find your business. And if something changes, it will cost you a lot of effort.
The TED says: 'As the logic of the CPV 2008 is different from that of the CPV 2003 (more 'product driven' and less 'material driven'), the correspondence between the two versions is multiple and ambiguous in some cases.'
And TED continues: 'If you have saved search profiles in TED, please note that those based on the CPV 2003 cannot be automatically updated to the 2008 version. You will need to check and update them manually.'
This means, you will have to go through all 10,442(!!!) CPV codes again, to get your tenders... And that's not all, the logic of this long list has changed also!
You need to do something now, but this will cost you multiple days, which you don't have...
